Mihalko’s Fire and Water Restoration is looking for an experienced Restoration Estimator. The successful candidate will have the necessary skills, insurance adjuster relationships, and professionalism to drive sales in the assigned territory and will be an active participant in the growing the Mihalko business line.

Desired Skills & Experience: At least 3 years of experience in the restoration/mitigation industry, with existing relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Respond to property damage calls

Document, photograph and write accurate and thorough estimates of property losses

Abide to Program and Insurance Carrier requirements when documenting and writing estimates

Ability to learn software programs such as Xactimate and Google Apps for Business

Establish and maintain client relationships

Must be available for once a month rotation after hours and weekends for emergency services. Minimal calls during this time frame.

Work with Production Managers to coordinate job and change orders

Skills and specifications:

Computer skills

Must be attentive to detail

Strong sales and negotiation skills

Working knowledge of residential and commercial mitigation and repairs

Intermediate computer skills

Must be able to pass a background check

Team player who takes feedback constructively

Able to communicate clearly, concisely and personably in both written and verbal forms of communication

Education and Experience:

Must have minimum 5 years construction experience

Sales experience is desired

Must have high school diploma, college degree preferred

Full Job Description

Join a well-established, growing team of individuals who make a difference in our customers life on a daily basis.

– Final cleaning at end of construction job to include carpet steaming, hardwood and floor cleaning, dusting, vacuuming,

– Routine maintenance activities such as trash emptying, dusting, cleaning up snow or debris

– Smoke and water cleaning

– Content packing and processing including wrapping, packing, listing, cleaning, photographing. Creating detailed lists and using proper Ultrasonic machines cleaning techniques.

– Familiarity with chemical products, including use, disposal and Safety Data Sheets application

– Cleaning of equipment that includes fan, dehumidifiers, mops, towels, packing blankets

– Attention to detail and organizational skills to include getting proper paperwork filled out and submitted on time, detailed lists, communication with management and customers

– Respectful of other people’s possessions and privacy, treating contents and home with care and respect

– Basic computer, tablet and smart phone skills

– Ability to follow directions, scope sheets

– Willing to further education with IICRC certifications and additional training which will lead to promotion

– On call compensated rotation required
